The Ricoh GR Digital IV is a compact point-and-shoot digital camera built around a 10.0-megapixel 1/1.7-inch CCD sensor. Designed for street photography and everyday documentary shooting, it features a fixed 28mm equivalent f/1.9 GR lens constructed with 8 elements in 6 groups, including 2 aspheric elements for sharp edge-to-edge optical performance and a 1cm macro focusing distance.

This fourth-generation GRD IV introduces sensor-shift image stabilization and an external Hybrid AF system alongside contrast-detect autofocus, supporting Ricoh's signature Full-Press Snap focus mode. It offers full PASM manual controls, an ISO 80–3200 sensitivity range, shutter speeds up to 1/2000 sec, and 12-bit RAW (DNG) plus JPEG capture. Framing is handled via a 3.0-inch 1.23M-dot RGBW LCD screen, with built-in creative color profiles like Positive Film, Bleach Bypass, and High Contrast B&W housed in a 190g body (without battery).
