Condition recap
The Carl Zeiss Biogon T 35mm f/2 ZM* is a precision-engineered wide-angle lens designed for Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras. Built on a classic non-retrofocus Biogon optical architecture comprising 9 elements in 6 groups, this manual focus prime delivers near-zero geometric distortion and high edge-to-edge micro-contrast, even at its widest f/2 aperture. Each spherical glass surface features the proprietary Zeiss T anti-reflective multi-coating*, maximizing light transmission while suppressing flare and ghosting in challenging lighting conditions.
Mechanically constructed with an all-metal barrel and a 10-blade aperture diaphragm adjustable in precise 1/3-stop clicks down to f/22, the lens provides smooth out-of-focus rendering and crisp 10-point sunstars. It offers a 63° diagonal angle of view and focuses from 0.7 meters to infinity via a responsive focusing ring with an integrated finger nub. Weighing 240g with a 52mm diameter and a 43mm non-rotating filter thread, it is a balanced optic for 35mm film and digital M-system photography.
