Nikon APO-Nikkor 760mm f/11 process lens, a symmetrical dialyte design with 4 elements in 4 groups, made by Nikon for high-precision graphic arts, reprographic and photoengraving work. Its 42° rated coverage makes it suitable for large format and ultra large format photography, including 8x10 and 11x14, as well as enlarger use. Nikon corrected the APO-Nikkor series for three colors (red, green and blue) with almost zero distortion at 1:1. The symmetrical layout performs the same in either direction, so no reversing is needed for enlarging or reduction. Best sharpness is reached by stopping down 2–3 stops from f/11. A long focal length apochromatic lens, popular among ULF photographers.
