The Contax 645 AE Finder Prism, known as the AE Prism Finder MF-1, is the eye-level metering finder made for the Contax 645 medium format autofocus system. It frames the 6x4.5 image with about 95% coverage and 0.8x magnification (80mm standard lens, -1 diopter). It adds TTL metering with a choice of center-weighted or spot readings for the camera's aperture-priority, shutter-priority and metered-manual modes. The finder shows shutter speed, aperture, metering mode, exposure compensation, frame counter, flash-ready and focus indication. Built-in diopter correction (-2 to +1) and an eyepiece shutter are included, together with a hot shoe for flash. Black metal-and-plastic body, about 380 g. A fitting companion for Carl Zeiss lenses, MFB-1 120/220 film backs and the wider Contax / Kyocera film system.
