Condition recap

The Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 45mm f/2.8 is the wide-angle prime of the Kyocera Contax 645 autofocus system. On the 645 format its field of view is comparable to a 28mm lens on 35mm, a versatile perspective for landscape, architecture, interiors and environmental portraiture. The optical design is a retrofocus Distagon with 9 elements in 7 groups, internal focusing and a built-in AF motor, with manual override via the focus ring. Zeiss points to very uniform corner-to-corner illumination and low distortion, while the T* coating preserves contrast and colour. Aperture range f/2.8 to f/32, 72mm filter thread, Contax 645 bayonet mount. It can also be adapted to digital medium format such as Fujifilm GFX or Leica S with third-party adapters.
