The Fujifilm X-E1 is a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera built around a 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor designed without an optical low-pass filter to maximize detail rendition. It uses the Fujifilm X-mount system and incorporates the EXR Processor Pro engine for RAW capture, advanced JPEG processing, and full manual exposure control. The camera features a hybrid contrast-detection autofocus system, continuous shooting up to 6 fps, and ISO sensitivity expandable to ISO 25600.
The body includes a high-resolution 2.36M-dot electronic viewfinder with real-time exposure preview and a 2.8-inch LCD display for live view and playback operation. Shutter speeds range from 30s to 1/4000s, with support for aperture priority, shutter priority, manual, and programmable automatic modes. Video recording is available in Full HD 1080p, with manual exposure adjustments and external microphone compatibility. Its magnesium-alloy top and front construction, dedicated shutter speed dial, and direct-access aperture control maintain a mechanical operating layout closely integrated with Fujifilm’s XF lens system.
