The Canon EF 16–35mm f/4L IS USM is a full-frame ultra-wide-angle zoom lens designed for the EF mount, covering a versatile 16–35mm focal range with a constant f/4 maximum aperture. It features optical Image Stabilization (IS) rated up to 4 stops, enhancing handheld performance. The optical construction includes 16 elements in 12 groups, with two UD elements and three aspherical elements to optimize sharpness and minimize aberrations. Canon’s Super Spectra coatings improve contrast and reduce flare. The lens uses a ring-type USM motor for fast, precise, and silent autofocus with full-time manual override. A 9-blade circular diaphragm supports smooth rendering, while the L-series build ensures dust- and moisture-resistant construction. Accepts 77mm filters.
