All buttons and dials function flawlessly, and the sensor is clean and spotless.

The Sony A7S (ILCE-7S) is a full-frame E-mount mirrorless body built around a 12.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor, whose large photosites and full-pixel readout give it an unusually clean signal across a native ISO 100–102,400 range, expandable to 409,600. This example has been fitted with a Super UV/IR Cut filter in place of the factory stack: a multi-coated hot mirror with a steeper cut-off below ≈400nm and above ≈680nm, which tightens colour separation, removes infrared contamination from blacks and foliage, and holds neutrality with adapted vintage and rangefinder glass.
Video runs through XAVC S 1080/60p, S-Log2 and clean 4K output over HDMI to an external recorder. The body carries a 2.36M-dot OLED viewfinder, tilting 3" LCD, silent electronic shutter and 14-bit RAW, in a magnesium chassis of ~489g with battery and card.
