The Leica SF 20 (code 14414) is a compact shoe-mount TTL flash produced from 1999 to 2003, built for Leica by Metz. It provides full TTL flash exposure control on the Leica M6 TTL, M7, MP, R8 and R9, and automatic (A) mode control with any other Leica M or R body featuring a central X hot-shoe contact. Output is rated at guide number 20 (ISO 100) with 63° coverage for a 35mm lens, widening to 84° (24mm) with the SFILL 14417 wide-angle diffuser. Auto apertures of f/2.8, f/5.6 and f/11 cover working distances to roughly 7 m, while manual power can be set to 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8. Flash exposure compensation spans ±3 EV, and the illuminated LCD panel displays film speed, aperture and distance. Two 3V CR123A lithium cells deliver a 5-second recycle time. Dimensions 66 x 109 x 41 mm, weight 170 g.
