It offers a guide number of 20 (ISO 100/m), providing controlled, accurate illumination matched to the coverage of the 45mm standard lens commonly paired with the G-series body. The compact housing includes a bounce-capable head, allowing the flash to be tilted upward for softer, more diffused indoor lighting. Power comes from two standard AA batteries, keeping the unit light and well-balanced on the camera, in line with the minimalist design of the Contax G system. The flash communicates exposure compensation data directly with the camera body for consistent metering across shots.
