The Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD for Canon EF mount is a full-frame standard prime lens designed for high-resolution digital imaging with an emphasis on optical correction, stabilization, and close-range performance. Featuring a 45mm focal length and a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, it provides a natural field of view suitable for reportage, portraiture, street photography, and general-purpose use.
The optical construction incorporates LD and aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberrations, distortion, and field curvature while maintaining high contrast and edge-to-edge sharpness. Tamron’s eBAND and BBAR coatings improve flare resistance and transmission consistency in challenging lighting conditions.
The lens includes VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization, allowing improved handheld performance at lower shutter speeds, alongside a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) autofocus motor for fast and quiet focusing operation with full-time manual override capability.
