The Sony A7S is a 12.2-megapixel full-frame mirrorless camera featuring a 35.6 × 23.8 mm Exmor CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ X image processor. Its low-resolution sensor design provides excellent light-gathering capability and wide dynamic range. The camera offers a native ISO range of 100–102,400, expandable to ISO 50–409,600, and supports 14-bit RAW capture. It records Full HD 1080p internally up to 60 fps, while 4K UHD (3840×2160) output is available via HDMI to an external recorder. The E-mount system is compatible with Sony FE lenses and adapted optics. Additional features include a 3-inch tilting LCD, 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, Wi-Fi/NFC connectivity, contrast-detection autofocus, and a durable magnesium alloy body with dual control dials and customizable buttons.
