The Century Super Wideangle + Wideangle Adapters FA-7X85 are front-mounted optical conversion lenses designed to extend the field of view of compatible video and broadcast lenses with an 85mm front diameter interface. The set typically includes both a super wide-angle converter and a wide-angle converter, enabling flexible focal reduction depending on application.

The super wide-angle adapter provides an approximate 0.7× magnification factor, significantly increasing angular coverage while maintaining full-frame imaging without vignetting on properly matched lenses. The wide-angle adapter offers a milder ~0.8× conversion, preserving more of the base lens geometry while expanding the field of view.

Both adapters feature multi-element, multi-coated optical construction, optimized for high contrast, controlled flare, and consistent color transmission. The design supports minimal geometric distortion for their class, making them suitable for professional video use. The units maintain full zoom-through capability, allowing operation across the host lens’ focal range without refocusing.
