It features a 10× optical zoom lens equivalent to 24–240mm in 35mm format, with a maximum aperture of f/3.3–6.4, providing a versatile focal range within a compact body.

The camera incorporates optical image stabilization (POWER O.I.S.) to assist handheld shooting across the zoom range. It supports Full HD 1080p video recording and continuous shooting up to 10 fps in high-speed burst modes. A distinctive feature is the 3-inch 1.04M-dot tilting LCD monitor that rotates upward for self-shooting and flexible framing.

Additional capabilities include built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling wireless image transfer and remote camera control via smartphone, along with automated shooting modes and integrated creative processing supported by the Venus Engine.
