The Panasonic Lumix GM5 is a compact Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera built around a 16MP Live MOS sensor, delivering high-resolution stills with full support for the MFT lens ecosystem. Its contrast-detect AF system with AF-tracking, Face/Eye Detection, and Low-light AF ensures precise focusing across various subjects. The camera offers Full HD 1080p video recording at 60i/30p in both AVCHD and MP4 formats.

A key feature is its integrated 1.16M-dot EVF with 100% field coverage, providing accurate composition even in bright environments. The 3.0" 921k-dot touchscreen LCD allows intuitive control, touch focus, and quick menu navigation. The electronic shutter enables silent shooting and high shutter speeds up to 1/16,000s, complemented by a mechanical shutter up to 1/500s.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi for remote control and transfer via smart devices. The GM5 supports RAW image capture, multiple exposure modes, and is compatible with external flash units through its dedicated hot shoe. It records to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards and uses the compact DMW-BLG10 battery system. Despite its ultra-small form factor, the magnesium-alloy construction ensures a solid, durable build suitable for demanding everyday use.
