Olympus µ[mju]-I (Stylus) is a 35mm compact autofocus camera built around a fixed 35mm f/3.5 lens (3 elements in 3 groups). It uses an active infrared autofocus system with program-controlled exposure automation and an electronically timed shutter range from 4 s to 1/1000 s. Film speed is set via DX coding (ISO 25–3200), with automatic film loading, advance, and rewind driven by an internal motor. The camera integrates a built-in electronic flash with multiple exposure modes and TTL control. Its sliding clamshell front cover protects the lens assembly and powers the system on. The optical viewfinder is a bright reverse-Galilean type with parallax correction framing. A compact sealed body design, LCD frame counter, and fully automatic operation complete the system.
