The 50mm and 90mm are made with a pristine Lomo front anamorphic glass, extremely rare to find.
The 35mm uses a glass with some slight coating deterioration in order to achieve an even more unique look.
The Whitepoint Optics Lomocron set (35mm, 50mm, 90mm) is a matched trio of full-frame cinema primes designed for modern digital motion-picture cameras, made with a combination of carefully sourced Leica Summicron and Lomo front anamorphic glasses. All three lenses share a consistent optical character, matched color transmission, and uniform contrast response, allowing seamless intercutting across focal lengths. The set covers 35mm full-frame sensors with ample image circle for contemporary cinema formats.
Each lens features a cinema-standard mechanical layout, including long-throw manual focus, precise focus marks, and geared focus and iris rings compatible with follow-focus systems. Aperture control is stepless, enabling smooth exposure transitions during takes. Optical formulas prioritize high resolving power, controlled aberration behavior, and stable performance across the frame.
The housings are robust, all-metal constructions, rehoused to tight tolerances for professional use, with matched front diameters and filter threads to simplify matte box and accessory changes. The Lomocron set is engineered as a cohesive cine lens system, emphasizing mechanical consistency, predictable rendering, and reliable performance for narrative and commercial cinematography.
