The camera combines a broad zoom range with optical image stabilization and full HD video recording at 1080p. Its autofocus system supports face detection, tracking AF, and macro focusing, while exposure control includes full manual operation alongside aperture priority, shutter priority, and programmable automatic modes.
The body incorporates a 3-inch 920k-dot LCD display, integrated electronic viewfinder, RAW recording capability, and a built-in flash with hot shoe support for external units.
