The lens is in good overall condition, with clear optics free of fungus or significant dust. No cleaning signs and no coating issues. Some haze on an inner element, near the front one, that could slightly affect image quality, mainly by lowering contrast. There is one small chip in the back element, near the border, not affecting image quality.

Designed as a close-range corrected lens, computed for optimum performance in the macro field while remaining fully usable at infinity, with flat-field rendering and low distortion that also make it a common choice for reproduction work, product photography and portraiture on 6x6 medium format.
Optical construction of 6 elements in 4 groups with T multicoating*. Minimum focusing distance of 0.8 m, giving a reproduction ratio of approximately 1:4.5; closer magnifications are obtained with extension tubes or bellows. Aperture range f/4 to f/32.
Built-in Prontor CF leaf shutter, speeds 1s to 1/500 plus B, with flash synchronisation at all shutter speeds. Bayonet 60 (B60) filter and shade mount, CF-series rubberised focusing ring, EV interlock with release. Weight approximately 800 g.
