The Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R WR is a constant-aperture standard zoom lens designed for the Fujifilm X-mount APS-C system, providing a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24–122mm. It features a constant f/4 aperture across the zoom range and an optical construction of 16 elements in 12 groups, including aspherical and ED elements to control chromatic aberration and field curvature.

The lens incorporates a linear autofocus motor for fast and quiet focusing performance, with full electronic communication for AF, aperture control, and EXIF data. It provides a minimum focusing distance of 35cm across the zoom range, enabling close-up capability with a maximum magnification of approximately 0.25× (0.38× equivalent). The barrel is built with a weather-sealed construction (WR), resistant to dust, moisture, and low temperatures down to approximately -10°C. The design includes a de-clicked aperture ring (R), internal zooming mechanism, and optical image stabilization rated up to approximately 6 stops, integrated directly into the lens unit.
