It features a 24–120mm equivalent zoom lens with a bright f/2.0 aperture at the wide end, supporting low-light shooting and depth-of-field control for a compact system.

The camera supports RAW (CR2) and JPEG capture, enabling full post-processing flexibility. Native sensitivity ranges from ISO 80 to 6400, managed through Canon’s HS System. Exposure control includes Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual modes, complemented by a configurable control ring around the lens for direct parameter adjustment.

Video recording is available in Full HD 1080p, with stereo audio capture. Composition and playback are handled via a 3.0" LCD (461k dots). Additional integrated features include GPS geotagging, optical image stabilization, and a magnesium alloy body, maintaining a compact form factor while supporting advanced photographic control.
