The Canon EOS C200 is a professional cinema camera built around a Super 35mm CMOS sensor, enabling the capture of 4K DCI (4096 x 2160) resolution footage.
Its primary strength is the internal recording of Cinema RAW Light, a powerful 12-bit format that provides up to 15 stops of dynamic range in post-production with Canon Log 3. This format preserves extensive color and tonal information while maintaining manageable file sizes. The camera also records in versatile 8-bit MP4 (UHD/HD) and can be updated to support the XF-AVC codec.
The C200 is equipped with Canon’s acclaimed Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus (DPAF) technology, which provides highly accurate and responsive continuous autofocus and face detection. This system is fully functional even when shooting in 4K.
For exposure control, it features a built-in ND filter system, offering 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 stops of light reduction. High-speed recording is available up to 120 fps in Full HD without a crop. Professional I/O includes SDI output, HDMI output, and two XLR audio inputs for high-quality sound capture. The camera's modular design allows for flexible rigging configurations suitable for various production environments
