Good overall cosmetic state and perfectly working, except for the lightmeter. Very clean taking lens, included the back elements. Shutter is reliable and precise and comes with the original manual.
The finder lens has some slight haze that does not affect the image on the finder (or, obviously, the final pictures quality).
The battery compartment shows some oxidation, and the light meter is non-functional. Even if operational, it would likely be inaccurate and limited to 400 ISO so it’s recommended to use an external light meter or even a phone app as an alternative.
The Yashica Mat-124G is a medium format twin-lens reflex (TLR) camera featuring a 4-element, 80mm f/3.5 Yashinon taking lens, paired with a matching viewing lens. The camera produces 6x6cm square negatives on 120 or 220 roll film, offering high detail and rich tonality. The Copal SV shutter provides speeds from 1 second to 1/500 second, plus a bulb mode for long exposures.
The focusing screen includes a central split-image rangefinder for precise focusing, complemented by a bright matte field. The Mat-124G’s robust metal body includes a crank for film advance and automatic frame spacing, similarly to Rolleiflex and other advanced TLRs.
