It features an f/1.4 maximum aperture, providing excellent low-light performance and depth-of-field control. The optical design includes multiple elements, such as Extra-low Dispersion (ED) and High Refractive Index (HRI) glass, to reduce chromatic aberrations and improve image sharpness.
The lens supports autofocus with an internal stepping motor (STM) for smooth and quiet focusing, making it suitable for both photography and video applications.
