The Sony MPK-URX100A is a dedicated underwater housing designed for the RX100 series. Built from high-durability polycarbonate, it allows full camera operation down to a depth of 40 meters (130 feet), making it suitable for diving, snorkeling, and underwater video.
The housing provides direct mechanical access to all essential controls, including zoom, shutter, mode dial, and rear buttons, via tactile buttons and dials with clear labeling. A dual-hinged locking system ensures a secure seal, aided by a rubber gasket and moisture detection alarm for added safety.
The flat front glass supports sharp imaging and minimal distortion underwater. The housing features a standard 67mm filter thread for attaching wide-angle or macro conversion lenses. A tripod socket and strap attachments enhance mounting and handling flexibility. It’s compact, rugged, and well-matched to the RX100 series’ size and performance.
