The Ricoh Theta Z1 is a 360-degree camera equipped with dual 1.0-inch back-illuminated CMOS sensors, each capturing approximately 20MP images. It outputs stitched 23MP (6720×3360) stills and supports RAW (DNG) + JPEG image recording.
The camera uses a dual-lens system with synchronized electronic shutters, enabling seamless spherical images and videos. It supports 360° video recording in 4K (3840×1920) at 30 fps, with 4-channel spatial audio recording via built-in microphones.
Exposure modes include Auto, Aperture Priority, ISO Priority, and Manual, with aperture settings of f/2.1, f/3.5, and f/5.6. ISO ranges from ISO 80 to 6400 for stills and ISO 64 to 6400 for video. The internal 3-axis rotational stabilization enhances video smoothness.
The Z1 includes 19GB of internal storage (non-expandable), a USB-C port, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for image transfer and remote operation via the Ricoh Theta app. It also supports plug-ins for extended functionality through Ricoh’s open platform.
