All buttons and dials function flawlessly, including the panorama switch and the date back, exclusive of this rare DLX model. The lens is free from haze, fungus, or significant dust. There is a minor cleaning sign, only visible under direct light, that do not affect image quality at all.

The back LCD it's still operating, some segments are slightly faded.

The Olympus Stylus Epic DLX is a 35mm compact point-and-shoot camera featuring a fixed 35mm f/2.8 multi-coated lens, known for its sharpness and low distortion. It uses a passive multi-beam autofocus system and supports automatic exposure with a built-in programmed shutter ranging from 1/1000s to 4 seconds, making it well-suited for daylight and low-light shooting alike.

This model is identical to the Olympus µ[mju:]-II Deluxe, which was the name used in non-North American markets. The DLX/Deluxe version differs from the standard Stylus Epic / µ-II by adding a quartz date back, allowing for timestamp imprinting, and in some versions, a panorama switch that crops the frame for a wider aspect ratio.

The camera features a clamshell sliding lens cover, built-in flash with various modes, and a compact, weather-resistant design. Its reputation for optical quality, portability, and point-and-shoot simplicity has made it highly sought after by film photographers.
