The lens features a maximum aperture of f/2, supporting low-light performance and shallow depth of field, while maintaining a compact form. The aperture ring is click-stopped in 1/3 steps, and the lens includes weather-sealing at 8 points, protecting against dust and moisture.
Autofocus is powered by an internal stepping motor, enabling fast and quiet performance suitable for both stills and video. Minimum focus distance is 35cm, with a maximum magnification of 0.14x.
It accepts 43mm filters, and the front element does not rotate during focus.
