The Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR is a standard prime lens designed for X-mount mirrorless cameras, offering a 53mm equivalent field of view on APS-C bodies. It uses an optical formula of 9 elements in 6 groups, including two aspherical elements to minimize spherical aberration and distortion.
The lens features a bright f/2.0 maximum aperture, suitable for low-light shooting and subject isolation with smooth background rendering. Autofocus is driven by an internal stepping motor, delivering fast and near-silent performance, making it well-suited for both stills and video.
It has a physical aperture ring with 1/3 EV clicks, typical of the XF series, and full-time manual focus override. The build is all-metal with a compact, lightweight design (approx. 170g), and it is weather-sealed against dust, moisture, and low temperatures down to -10°C.
Minimum focus distance is 35cm, with a 0.14x magnification ratio. The front accepts 43mm filters, and the lens maintains a consistent balance on both compact and larger X-series bodies.
