The 253mm image circle leaves generous room for rise, fall, shift and tilt movements on 4x5, and it also covers 5x7. On 4x5 the field of view is comparable to about 60mm on 35mm format. That makes it well suited to landscape, architecture, still life and portraiture. The 6-blade aperture and compact build (about 348g) make it an easy lens to carry in the field. It fits standard Copal 1 lensboards and works with monorail and field cameras.
